Upright meaning
Scales in one hand, sword in the other. Cause and effect are working as they should, and a fair judgement is made on the facts. In contracts, disputes and decisions, honesty is the best strategy.
If it were reversed
The scales have tipped. Blame and self-justification are clouding the judgement, or you are facing an unjust outcome. Uncomfortable as it is, start again by counting the facts exactly as they are.
