HardshipFeeling shut outA difficult stretchThe threshold of asking for help
Upright meaning
Two figures in a snowstorm pass a lit window. It is a cold stretch, materially and emotionally, but help is nearer than it seems. The door opens for whoever knocks.
If it were reversed
The coldest stretch is behind you. The decision to step inside the window — asking for help — becomes the start of recovery.
